Have you ever paid for anything in a vending machine, only for it to get stuck? I buy from vending machines (especially the chip/chocolate bar) a lot, but only once has the item gotten stuck. I remeber ithat it was a Crunch bar and I was buying it at a train station.... Has this happened to anyone? If yes, what machine and what were you buying?

it happened to me once but I am not sure you would call it a vending machine, one of those chocolate machines with the pick up claw, I love tose things and once the claw didn't move...I was devastated, all the choccies were all banked up just waiting for someone to hit pay dirt....:(

I have had a couple of bags of chips get stuck. I got them out though thanks to a guy co-worker friend of mine. He actually shook the machine around to dislodge them.

You're lucky. I have lost a lot of money in vending machines over the years. It's been different things that I was buying, cokes, candy, chips, and esp. newspapers. Pay telephones are notorious too for taking your money here. Thank goodness I have a cell phone now and rarely have to use one.

I had a bag of chips stuck once, so i called the vending machine company. They asked where the machine was and it's serial number, then they asked for my address and sent me my money back! they actually sent coins embedded in cardboard so you couldn't tell there was money in the envelope. Funny thing is, buy the time I'd gotten off the phone to the company, my cousin had shaken the chips out for me. Bargain! Now that's an easy way to make a few bucks "uh, yeah my chips got stuck, I want a refund!" Not that i'm giving any of you any ideas ;-)

i usually get hot choco latte before the shift starts from one of our company's coffee and choco vending machines. this is what i do to wake me up early morning at work. this is also my regualr routine with the previous company i am working with. i do remember those times that my coins get stuck inside those machines leaving me waiting for nothing, not even half cup of hot choco nor the coins i inserted in it.

Yes, it has happened to me. It was at a Golden Gate Transit Station at the old 4th and Lincoln stop in San Rafael. You would get quite a few seedy charcters hanging around so when my candy bar didn't drop down and I started wailing on the machine to loosen the candy, nobody paid any attention. The candy did eventually drop, and I shook a little spare change loose to boot!
