what is soul ? where its come from? and where it will go?

What I learned is, the soul is us. The soul is composed of body and the spirit. When we die, our spirit goes back to God and awaits for the judgement day to receive either a reward or a punishment. The body, however, lies on the ground as it turns back to dust. On the judgement day, the spirit will go back to the body and God will change us to something that wont tear off.
