Why do we see general discussion under mylot interests category?

Is it the mistake the users are making or is there anything wrong in the website?
I pesonally did not started any general discussion in mylot interest category but i find so many ghosts and love bugs under this category why is this happening?
Have you noted this?
What can be done to these ghosts in mylots?

I also felt this once, but I think this feature is not so user friendly and hense it's happaning because of utter ignorence or innosence you can call.
What I would suggest is that these "interests should be listed on the left side in bold & big font to understand quickly, instaed of this the images related to the interests are too big to note the smaal interest line below that.
The clearity is not so fine, the new users only make this mistake once they are familier to the feature they won't do it later.
Still the modification is necessary.

What's wrong with that?
I start my fair share of discussions in general category because I have no idea which category to put them into. It is certainly no mistake. :P
