How could a dog be man's bestfriend? (when it barks and uh, it bites!)

It only barks at strangers and bites if threatened. Dogs are loyal and gives unconditional love to its owners.

My dog is great and know how to cheer me up when I'm in a bad mood. She just stikcs her wet nose in my face and make it all better.
