I have been researching occupations and ways to earn a real income online, i.e. - enough to pay mortgages, bills, food and renovations etc. I'd sure be interested in hearing if anyone else out there has found a way to make a real living online. By real I mean an inocme that is not below the poverty line (which is about 750.0 per week here in Australia). I look forward to your responses. Jaahda :-)

My roommate's brother makes a living off of Ebay. He is excellent at finding deals and reselling products online. He can find a "hidden treasure" and note it's value and post it on there. I have had pretty good luck with Ebay myself. There is a website I haven't looked too much into but in very extreme and successfull cases there are people who said to have made $100,000 a year on Cafepress.com You have to be a bit creative, but you come up with a design of you own, you pick a mark up price, and can put that design on shirts, clocks, mugs, ect. The website puts your products up on the search engine, but to become really successfull it's best to find your own way to promote your items. The site uses print on demand technology so the items are only made if someone buys it, so there's no cost investment on your end.

Very helpful information, thanks. I too plan to sell on Ebay...after I buy a book or two on how to really get an online business booming. Hmm, I'm a graphic designer, so I should check out that Cafepress site as well.

I, too, would love to make a large amount of money from the internet but it is difficult to do that. A lot of the sites that offer you large amounts of money are nearly always scams and most of the autosurfs turn out to be scams. A few of the big-named autosurfs have recently turned scam. I do earn money each month. It isn't a large amount but it's better than nothing and always helps towards different expenses. If you take a look at the website link in my profile you will see a list of sites I use to generate some income each month. All the sites are free to join.

There are many on the internet for making money. Most of them do not actually earn high as they are free programs. I may have one online business coming up which is now offline type. If we are to keep in contact by email, I'll be able to let you know more once they have launched it online. This program is now my main monthly passive income paying me twice a month. I earned enough here to quit my job so that I can concentrate on other online ventures. Like you, I hold to the belief that online businesses are the best way for our lifestyle.

Hello! Welcome to MyLot! :D It would probably take some time to build up to that kind of income with what I do lol. Depending on your interests, I'm sure there are many ways to earn a real income online. After taking a peek at your profile, I could suggest writing/selling more books to start with lol. I see you have a readings site already set up, but have you thought of offering your other services (guide, tutor, chauffeur) online as well? Just a few thoughts to get you started. ;D

Earning money on a residual basis every month in large enough quantities to not have to work is not something that is easy. I've tried some of these survey sites, tried paid emails, and a bunch of other things. None of it generates enough cash to live on. So I'm working on a novel. If it is popular that could generate royalties quarterly. I've thought about writing e-books available for pay per download, but I'm not big on rooking people with silly MAKE $$ NOW fluff. Novels don't sell particularly well via download, so it'll be brick and mortar for me. We'll see what happens, wish me luck.

Investing is the only thing I can think of, and that's not a sure thing. I do investing and other ptp sites but I have yet to accumlate enough to significantly add to my income as I pretty much started from scratch, but hopefully all my hard work will pay off in future.

I've been trying a while and find it very difficult to make a living online. At the moment I can make about US$80 per month which isn't enough to live on unless you only eat rice and live in a cave (but then I wouldn't have an internet connection :-)) The most I made was by playing poker ($1500 profit) but I only bet very small amounts and it took a veeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrry long time and I certainly wouldn't recommend playing poker to make a living.

I'm not aware of any job you could work online from home, barring a real job where you get to stay home because of disability or something. Most jobs pay well because they are hard and you actually have to work hard and leave your house to do them. The internet can't be considered an easy way to make money reliably because it isn't, its all based on real money and thats not how labor works.

Hi, making a real living online is a whole lot beneficial since it gives one a chance to work at home which is what i'm currently doing. I've some good & decent work at this website: www.craigslist.com. I think that site originally started in San Franscisco but it covers major cities in the world too. I actually found a homebased transcription work there but they offer a wide range of opportunities. Good Luck!
