don't you just hate it when you work hard while others slack off?

well... I'm not really a workaholic, I'm just an average woman who works 9.5 hours a day so I can have good food on my table, nice clothes and shoes, travel, secure my family's needs, pay my taxes and bills and be fulfilled. I love getting pressured and given deadlines. That's what keeps me going. But what ticks me off is that the partner assigned to me for a certain project is not helping at all. If I can do his job I would do it, but since he's assigned in the night shift and I'm in the morning I can't do that. What makes me wonder is that he stays at the office more than 12 hours. I even see him in the morning when I come to work. Weird thing is he can't seem to finish his work. From what I heard he sleeps a lot at work, we're all aware of that including our boss. My boss also sees that he is not that efficient. I don't know what he's planning to do about it. He is too nice that he just sends him email notification of what needs to be done. Yesterday was our deadline for reporting, I took the initiative of doing it, I just need him to submit the data to me but he didn't and so we were late for submission. He seems to be a very intelligent person but he is so slow... even when he speaks. He's really annoying and he adds up to my stress. Sometimes I just joke around (sarcastically... hoping he gets it) and say I don't wanna hang out with him coz the baby in my womb might absorb his obscure personality. Oh well... I'm just glad I finished the report today! I really dread the day that we will be in the same shift!!!

Right. Unfortunately, this world is big enough for all kinds of people and your friend is one kind of people whom you don't really want to be about. There is nothing you can do about it really except to make it more plain and obvious to him - but this may affect your working relationship once he finally "gets it". So what I would suggest is that you try to get yourself promoted sooner ^^ so that you don't need to work alongside him anymore.

yeah... well yesterday I sent him an email just to let him know that he's keeping me from doing my assigned task! I decided to be blunt to make a point. I hope he gets that. Thanks! =)
