Serials Infinite and Un-ending

The latest money making concept of entertainment is making of serials with no endings and no meaning. I had a look at one of the Telugu serials a 5 years back and still it is running. I didnt even know when it began. The more comedy thing is people are still watching it seriously. The actors all are changed and characters remain. Since 5 years the same concept is running and it never ends. Shame with the Producers, Story Writers, Directors, Broadcasters and Viewers. What do u Say ?
