im a filipina.. most of the people in my country prefer to have a white complexion. but as for myself, as long as you feel confident in your looks then your beautiful..
if you would choose your complexion, what would you like to have?

As an tropical country you have advantage having coloring skin, one of most benefit is you will have chance get an skin cancer in very2 low probability then white skin ones.
