why is india still poor??????????

off late our indian buisness men have gained a lot of recognition...tata won corus...reliance is spreading....mnc are coming up every where...our gdp would reach 7.7%...why is india still poor???where is the loop hole????what can common man do????where are we heading to???is this development????

The wealth of the country with few people and unending corruption are the main cause for india being poor.the common man should use his franchise in a correct way so that we can get rid of corrupted politicians and travel in the correct path of sucess and development of the country.

India is not a poor country now. Its economic growth from April to June is 9.5% where the most powerful country in the word (you can guess which is that country) in terms of economy and military has recorded only 0.5%. There may be poor people and they are also in other countries. It is the media-made poverty is actually seen by people of western countries.

It is the same in my country, GNP rises, everybody is happy, all the politicians and big businesmen. But the common man never feels improvement, to the contrary, inflation they say goes down but common man has less money. It's a strange world, this world of economics.

I think India is not a poor country.Just the people have to learn few more things.They have to be cautious about the govt policies,govt spending etc etc.... India is in top 20 richest country in the world. Rich country does not mean that there are no poor people.Come to europe and see.:)

your economic country growth maybe high,but is it spread fair and all of the indian people can feel the impact of the development.I think that was the problem.your boost growth is contributed by the big city like bangalore,mumbai or some city.but how about people who live in village ?they didn't get a sama opportunity like people in the city.
A good development is high and spread fair.
