We all seem to have that one teacher who really made our day. No matter how boring or difficult the school years were at times, we looked forward to this one class. The teacher had a way of teaching that inspired you to learn. And even today you remember that one most important thing that you were taught by that special person...........

I have had the wonderful fortune of having had some very good teachers in my formative years. Her name was Lydia Jepamani - a very religious, God fearing and at the same time a very jovial and dignified woman. She had the wonderful act of balancing academic progress with interesting lectures on morality, and character building interspersed between! Believe me, her lectures were never boring and they never had the air of seremonizing even though she inculcated good morals. Another teacher I would like to remark is Mrs. Ananthi - a simple and sweet teacher. She groomed me in public speaking after identifying my talent in that department. She was more like an elder sister to me. I would have gladly got the harshest punishments from any other teacher rather than provoke her into looking angrily or in an upset gaze at me. She was a real motivation in my earlier years and we continue to have regards for each other though I myself have progressed by age and no more the kid I was and she has grown up kids studying in college!

I hve never forgotten Miss Brascher, she was my english teacher way way back when I was at secondary school. She was the only teacher who made any impression on me with her encouragement and support. She got me interested in writing and encouraged me with my enjoyment of books.

I have several really special teachers...my first grade teacher who started me reading. An art teacher who got me to be creative. A music teacher who supported my love of music. A gym teacher and basketball coach who taught me a good rim shot and the facts of life. A principal who was fair to everyone.
