Friend i came to share some information about Islam. Users from All Religions are Welcome.
Friends please don't misunderstand Islam, Islam is a great Religion in the world, and those people who are starting discussions against Islam on mylot, Please don't trust on them they all wan to destroy the peace in the world.....
ISLAM MEANS PEACE & EVERY HUMAN WANTS TO LIVE IN PEACE
14 centuries ago, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) educated Islam to the non-muslims and showed them the right path by practicing Himself the principles of Islam - Kindness, patience, justice and tolerance which resulted in scores of people accepting Islam and becoming Muslims. A true muslim can be understood by the following Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), according to which, “A True Muslim is the one from whose sayings and actions others are secure” .
It means a muslim is a peaceful, balanced, considerate, honest, conscious person, an asset, who balances the society.
=== Al-Quran===
Surah 49: Al Hujraat (Ayat 13):"O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa[i.e. one of the Muttaqun (pious)]. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.”
--Al-Hadith--
Sayings of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him):"A Muslim is one from whose speech and action others are safe." (Sahih Bukhari)"Those who are not kind and merciful on the mankind, the Allah is not kind and merciful to them as well.” (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)
WELCOME TO PEACE AND UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD
I hope you all are understanding and respecting islam now.

So nice to read this post! I myself am a Christian but that does not mean that I do not respect your beliefs and faith because I do! I made the very point in a discussion yesterday that the Koran taught peace! I feel that if everyone was more tolerant and accepting of different beliefs and cultures the world would be a better place!

That is what a human should be..respect each other religion. Why must we fight? Just do what we think is right for us and we will have peace.Hatred is often lead by jealousy and lack of a prepared mind.If you have these quality..you will be a perfect human who respect each other religion..

Before Islam even begins to carry any clout for me its followers, as a whole, will have to prove they are a religion of peace by their actions. As long as a few keep proving that Islam is NOT a religion of peace most of us will not accept it as being so. This puts the ball back into your court. If you fail to extinguish those who continue to show by example that Islam is in fact not at peace with everyone around them I will not be convinced.
So also seems to be the opinion of a vast number of us. When Christians can walk among the Muslims in Pakistan (I choose for my example) and behave as they normally would without repercussion just as Muslims would be able to in the USA then I might begin to be slightly swayed. However this is SO NOT THE CASE. Christians would quickly die in that country for behaving, as they normally would while at the same time Muslims can behave as they normally would in the USA without significant repercussion.
For now it is defiantly a one-way street. Muslims could walk door to door in the USA speaking about their beliefs without any likely worry of bodily harm but Christians can not do this in Pakistan and expect to survive very long. They would be killed and the police and neighbors would congratulate the killers for doing something "good" by killing the Christians!
I am guessing this post might not get much response. How could it without bringing shame to your "peaceful religion"!
I want to make sure that everyone understands that by "extinguish" I do not mean more killing! Get in their face and convince them how anti-Muslim they are being. Convince them that it is in Islams best interest if they avoid killing at all costs and they need to stop trying to enforce sharia law. It MUST be free will or it is WRONG! You can NOT try and make sharia the countries law!
God/Allah is a God of free will. No one is forced to follow God laws. God doesn't want those kinds of followers, which to me is very understandable! Islam however, at least in many area is not like this! Some of the eastern countries you can not even get government benefits unless you are Muslim. Shopkeepers will not do business with you if they know you are not Muslim.
There is massive prejudice and I don't see it being equal in both directions. I am not saying there is NO prejudice against Islam. I am saying that it much greater prejudice from the Islam side then from the Christian side.

I will not dispute that Islam is a great religion because it reformed a nation which would have been a bunch of bandits and Bedouins living like animals. This change can only be done by an aggressive religion.
But you can make it even greater by doing a few things.
1. Educate the Muslims who are resorting to terrorist activities with American made weapons. Tell them Allah does not like these weapons.
2. Remove the Satanic versus from the Koran and re-edit it so that it can keep up with the 20th century and modern technology.
3. Tell your leaders to make a proclamation on certain issues. For instance there are many Muslims who prefer to believe that the Moon is their religious symbol out of bound for humans. So the religion looks stupid when someone argues on this point. But if an official statement from higher authority is issued the confusion can be avoided.

Islam may very well mean peace. Obviously you think so and you feel strongly about it. My question is how can a person that claims to be a member of such peacefulness treat others the way you have treated sndcain ? Does being peaceful mean we can verbally abuse someone or beat and abuse people for their beliefs or non beliefs. I don't see how any of that is peaceful so if you are practicing your religion then I would say Islam does not mean peace. I think you would be better to pray for forgiveness than continue on your peaceful path.
Just my humble opinion.

Well said mari61960!
I can not say that I am not guilty of letting my emotions get a bit stirred up in some of these discussions. But I like the way you put it. If we want to preach peace we must be sure to practice it in everything we say and do!
You can't talk peace and then threaten to beat people in the next breath.
