Would you buy fake stamps to complete your stamps collection? / myLot

To all stamps collector out there, please share your opinion regarding the topic. For me personally, I won't buy the fake stamps to complete my stamps collection, although some of the fake stamps are also quite expensive. I will rather prefer genuine stamps.

I do prefer to have genuine stamps..If you are going about buying it then there is no fun in collecting..I dont think it can be considrred as collection..Noway Im going to buy fake stamps even if I buy original ones...Why do you want to waste your money on something which is fake?Even if its not stamps...??

Hello mic_tcs...... I also would not buy any fakes to complete a collection. I would rather have real items. But..... ...........On the other hand there are a few fakes that would be nice to have so you would be able to recognize them when buying others. Knowing what the fakes look like teaches you what the real ones are supposed to look like. It can be especially important when purchasing the more expensive material. Tom

hello nrnotrare, What you say is quite true. But I will always make sure that the stamps that I bought is real. If not, I won't buy it. Except for those unavoidable situation where the fake stamps come with other stamps in a big lot.

how can we check the fake stamp??? well i will never go for fake but just for piece of information i want to know it....
