subscription blogging

I'm considering starting a subscription blog. Maybe for 1.99 per week paid by paypal. Does anyone know how much that would cost in fees to paypal ? Or is it better to start at 7.95 a month instead?
Also - for what reasons do you think people would subscribe to a blog and pay that amount of ongoing money ?

Heya Jaahda, Sorry but I am not really sure how much the fees to paypal would be. It does seem though that it may not cover itself if the subscription was only 1.99. On the other hand though, the blog would be more likely to get more subscribers if it were cheaper.
As to the reasons people would subscribe to a blog, again I am not sure sorry because I can only comment on my personal likelihood to subscribe, which I hate to say would be quite low. I suppose the best thing to do would be to search blog sites or the indexes of them to see the most visited topics and then maybe start a blog along those lines.
I am a VERY firm believer in not paying any money to make money online.
