He was indeed an ace machine. I believe he had the fastest clocked serve during his time. But as far as an all around tennis player is concerned, he was bested by Sampras by far. And of course...Agassi. Didn't matter how hard Goran served that ball, Agassi would hit it back twice as hard.
I honestly don't remember him as being much of a charmer, especially not like Jimmy Connors.

yup agreed he didnt had the best of techniques like agassi connors or samprass but he sure gave thrills in his match his matches were more enjoyable then of samprass or agassi's and when he won the wimbeldon being wildcard entry that was heroic stuff and his entire run in the tournament was outstanding it was stuff abt which generally movies are made :D

I agree with everything you said except the fact that Agassi matches were boring. I think they were just the opposite. During his younger years he was even more exciting than when he got much better in his older age. His groundstrokes were awesome, and he played most of his points at the baseline, which made his matches much more exciting. On top of that, he wasn't the kind of player that would wait for his opponent to make unforced errors (alot like Sampras was...other than his unbelivable volleying skills). Agassi always went for the winners, and he won a good deal of his matches due to outperforming his opponents with winners instead of merely unforced errors.
Remember the between the legs shot, with his back to the net, and making it a winner eight out of ten times on top of it? How many guys did you see before, or after him do this shot with consistent success? Agassi was always pulling shots out of his behind. He was an absolute thrill to watch.
