Right now I am reading "The Blind Side" by Michael Lewis. He's the same author who wrote "Moneyball," the look into the Oakland A's and their general manager Billy Beane and their way of evaluating talent and spending their resources. (For those avid sports fans out there I sure hope you know what Moneyball is at least.)
"The Blind Side" is the story of the evolution of the left tackle position as being the most pivotal position in the NFL and the story of Michael Oher, a young man who currently plays for the Ole Miss and will most likely be in the NFL one day, although he spent a lot ofhis childhood on the streets of Memphis as a homeless child before being adopted by a caring family.
It's a football book, yes... but the human interest piece with Oher is simply amazing.
