what does those stars mean?

i'm new here in myLot and i've been posting for just a week now. i don't know what the stars with numbers stand for. can anybody tell me what are those? i kinda have an 8-star..

it shows that what reputation u have got after posting 100 discussions/replies on mylot. also that how many posts were appreciated and rated by other mylot memebers. u have 8 (like myself;)) which tells that u r above average and that way going alright. if u would be able to maintain the quality of ur reponses and discussions it would rise even higher(maximum is 10 which is 100/100)!! hope my post was helpful for u to understand this system.:)

every rating has its own color like 7 is silver,8 is yellow, 9 is red,10 is blue etc.:)

After 100 posts, you earn a star. The numbers are from 1 to 10 and the higher the number, the better. The rating depends on the ratings people have given your discussions that you started or your responses and are also based on your overall participation at the site (are you posting quality discussions, quality responses, rating other users and discussions, posting pictures etc.)
