How does the earnings on my lot work?

I think you don't get a set earning everytime you answer. It's just the quantity of what you answer as to how much you get paid for your answer. Say, if you just answer one word, then I dont think you get very much at all. And I haven't earned squat from my referrals. Neither of mine post at all. Though I have talked to the one and he has forgotten his password and can't get it to come back up.
