How do you pray?

Prayer is the best way and the most powerful weapon to increase our faith and be able to communicate with our God. Since each one is born with different faith and beliefs, that simply depicts that each one has his own way of praying, worshiping and praising his or her own God. Though we have different ways of offering a prayer, what matters most is the sincerity of your heart once you pray.
I'm a Catholic Christian and I talk to God any time of the day. I don't really have to go to a room or Church when I pray. Just by talking to Him and telling him my joys and worries in a day is my own way of praying already. But there are also times I go to the Church or in a prayer room, kneel down and pray. Sometimes, I also sing worship songs as my way of worshipping the Lord.
So, how about you? How do you pray?

I pray with prayers of thanks and gratitude for what I have and knowing and having 100% faith that my prayers are already answered. I do not say prayers asking or begging or pleading God for anything. In my mind this implies doubt in God, of which I have none. I say prayers of thanks for what I want and need, knowing in my heart and soul that God will always answer my prayers. I just have to be open to accepting them.

I used to have long talks with God. We have not had one in a while which is not good. But I do pray. Usally though we I think we need to consider God as a freind of ours and talk to him that way. Really give him our all in prayer.

I pray just like I was talking to someone, except it's in my mind. I usually pray about whatever I am thinking or am concerned about. In our church, most people pray by bowing their heads, others lift their heads and hands up.
Prayer helps strengthen our connection to God. If you don't pray, it begins to degrade and you will find yourself drifting away from Him.

REally? Even if you're already asleep, you'd still wake up at 3am to pray? How sweet for you to do that. I appreciate it. :) Thanks for responding though :)

I pray to the lord everytime I feel I need someone to talk or I need protection and to thank him for all the blessings no matter how small or big it was.
For me even in a isolated corner I can pray wholeheartedly if I really feel to do so and most of the time I go to adoration chapel after work and say a little prayer and thanksgiving.
By prayers I feel very attached with god and it made me more stronger to face the reality and the unforseen circumstances that comes along the way.

I am a Roman Catholic, too and I pray to God in quite a few different ways. There are times when I go to a church and light candles as I offer my prayers to Him. On Sundays I hear mass and get involved in the whole Eucharistic celebration. I also talk to God anytime of the day, but mostly before and after going to bed. And when I go home in our province, I together with my family often light some candles and pray the Holy Rosary, with us taking turns to lead each mystery. I believe each one of us has their own beliefs but anyhow, am grateful that I was born and raised in a family who fears God and believe in Him.

I agree with you. If we haven't grown up with the kind of family that we have, we might end up growing without any directions in life and any God to believe in. Thanks for the respones! :)

There's no special place to pray but one thing I remember that bible says: God can hear us in silence, so if I'm praying alone I do it in whispering like. But with my family I usually make it louder that they can hear it clearly so they understand what I'm praying about and could second demotion at the end by saying "Amen".

I always start by giving thanks to God the father maker of heaven and earth the most trusted God thanking him for what ever he has done to my life so far and ask for more protection and blessings

My relation with God is not a static one. I pray whenever I feel to and sometimes I pray just because of habit. In first case, I pray in whichever way I feel myself connected with God, no concern to place or physical actions. And in the second case, I just remember one of the verses I learned in my childhood, the one which is most favourite to me.:)
