What kind of games do you play with your kids when there is nothing else to do?? We play indoor volleyball with a balloon and net made from our kitchen chairs and something else like a blanket. We also play board games and indoor baseball. You really have to use your imagination sometimes!

My niece, who I help raise, loves to play connect four. That's her favorite game right now. We also have a few other games she likes to play as well but she's reaching the age where it's not cool to play with grown ups :) On a really good day for me I might be able to play her a couple of games of PIG or HORSE with the basketball (you take turns trying to make a basket and who ever misses gets a letter and who ever spells it out first loses). Most of the time she plays basketball with her friends though.

Five children combined with a rainy day can lead to quite the monotony if we come up with something to do indoors to create some fun. Games that we often play as a family and find entertaining are: Charades, Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit (DVD), Scene It, many different card games (our favorite being "Oh Hell"), and we occasionally break out the PlayStation Family Games like Dance Dance Revolution, Karaoke and Guitar Hero and challenge each other.
Games are something we do as a family quite frequently. It is more entertaining the television and rewarding too as far as the laughter goes. Hide and Go Seek and Leg Wrestling are another couple of games we will play as well. Our game list goes on and on. I hope everyone enjoys at least one game night with their family, it is so much fun!

My sons just played that guitar hero game at my sisters house last weekend and they loved it. My younger brother has dance dance revolution and they thought it was ok. They are PS2 addicts, though. I limit their time on the PS2 but if it is nasty out and we haven't anything else to do then that is what we do.

For now with my toddler, she enjoys to play pretend and dress up in characters. I play with her on this coz she enjoys it so much. We paint and color and what she likes most is that she pretends to be cooking a meal for me and I will sit on her little chair and table. I guess when she will be older, I can move on to the boardgames like snake and ladder...etc.

My son (5) loves to play with play doh, and paint. He loves to color. When we go places that are boring for him he packs a coloring book and crayons. I think he got it from his brothers. They love to draw.

I played all kinds of games with my daughter... monopoly for children, millions of games of Go Fish, the alphabet/city game, connect four, Othello, checkers, and when she got older, chess, rummy, monopoly for adults, trivial pursuit, you name it. One game we both loved was the story game. Each of us would take turns telling a story. I'd start and she would have to pick up the story where I left off. It really tested the imagination.
I think that's where my daughter learned to be so creative in her writing.

Those are all great games. We love board games but like to make up our own. My son made a fun game of tag with a big plastic blow up toy (looks like a hammer), and you tag each other with it instead of your hand. It was lots of fun.
