friends..i think orkut.com is the bestwebside for comminicating with friends..even both known and known..we are able to know about them before we talk to that person through profile having complete details..even we can choose by names we love to call...we can search beauty girls to talk....i have done these things here and i have so many friends in orkut...what do you think???shareyour views!!!!

Yes Amit, I agree with you. But there are some negative effects also.
#Like there was one case where a guy created a fake profile of his classmate and posted indecent scraps to everyone in orkut saying that she's a bad gal and all.
# some of the Brazilians making a mess in some of the communities.
# there are some communities where they are posting topics which evoke communal hatred.
# Some communities such as "I hate Pakistan", "I hate India","I hate America" and so on...
But there are more positive points than negative ...
# meet old friends and meet new ones
# update your album and profile so that everyone gets to know what kind of a person you are
# Join communities where there are useful discussions
# chatting with friends
Well I agree it's a good website for communication but not the best. There are other sites also better than orkut.com.

well it can be and cannot be the best , that depends on the person only and the fact remains some people just use it for chat only where as there is a vast resource of information in it .

yes i am agree with you simran.....and for me its having many benefits as i always use to clear my douts regarding carrer through related communities...anyways thankyou very much for responsing here.....

orkut is a good site 4 meeting old friends... i met my scoolmates with whom i havent been in touch 4 years... it feels great... i was very shy in school so never interacted much with my classmates then.. but i've grown up now and wish i could talk 2 them now.. orkut has given me dat opportunity.. thanks 2 orkut
