A woman in Boston had a failed abortion when she found out she was pregnant back in March.
She now has filed a lawsuit against 2 doctors and Planned Parenthood for costs of raising her child.
She wanted the abortion for financial reasons. The first doctor preformed it, and the 2nd doctor failed to detect her pregnancy when she was 20 weeks along.
She found out she was still pregnant in September and the child was born in December.
What do you think about the lawsuit she filed? What do you think about this case?

I don't think the 2 law suits can be compared.... this is a medical procedure that failed. She didn't know until months later.
I don't agree with abortion, and I know I could never go through with it, but I think she has a real case here.
I just feel for the child... when she grows up and finds out, first her mother tried to abort her, and it failed, so she had her when she didn't want to, then sued for the money to raise her. Poor kid!

I forgot to add...
I don't think she should get the money to raise the child, but that is malpractice (with both doctors) and she apparently chose not to give the child up for adoption! so, I can see "pain & suffering" or "malpractice" and getting awarded the compensation but not "child-rearing costs"

I'm not so sure she will win the case. Maybe for malpractice and get a little compensation but not a ton of money. If she was not able to afford her child she could of put the child up for adoption or get state or federal assistance. She has been raising her child for 2 years and now decides to do this? Big eye roll to her.

There is a cap on how much you can get in a malpractice suit I believe
