I love dogs and I've had many but my favorite was my short-haired hound named "Lady" she was an awesome dog. Lovable, but overprotective too and very smart. She passed on when I was 12 but she was a great dog and I'll never forget her. How about you, best dog you've ever had?

With no offense meant, and in my case "best" isn't a word I'd use, but to consider it I'd have to say ANY dog I had at any particular time. I've never compared them as if they had been part of a poll or contest.
Certainly because they all have different personalities and we relate to each in different ways, there may be some specifics with one that are more favorable than when compared.
As a child and into adulthood there is nothing at all wrong with keeping the memory of ones pets.

the best dog i've ever had is my dalmatian, sanchai cause she's the first dog that i've ever taken care off by myself. cause with all the dogs that i had, my cousin helped me take care of them. cause before i can't really take care of my dogs alone.

our pitbull is awsome and takes good care of the house. she is too playful and usually we cant go outside that often because afraid that shell jump on us. but still wouldnt trade her for anything and would give her away or kick her out. to be honest, the best dog we had was a german shepherd because he was the same, took care of the house and was playful but not that rough. he passed away when i was nearly about 9 years old, i believed it was.
