Looking for some new music recommedations

I love listening to music and have very eclectic tastes. I'm always looking for recommendations for new songs, artists or groups to check out and add to my growing collection. What is your favorite song? Who is your favorite performer or group? What about the song makes it your favorite? Why do you like the performer or the group? I've been on a big John Mayer kick lately. I love his new album Continuum. He's got such a smooth voice and the album overall is fantastic. I love the lyrics to "Waiting on the World To Change" and "Belief" and "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room." I highly recommend it.
