Me and my friends were discussing this a couple days back:
Some of us said:
If you do something hurtful on purpose, the apology isn't really necessary (or doesn't mean anything) mainly because of the original intent ...
If you do something by accident , the recieving person should understand this and
an apology shouldn't be necessary...
I also once read this phrase from a book " Real men don't apologize" XD
Toughts?

I partially agree with you. When someone does something wrong...I think apologies are needed from the hurted person.
I need apologies if someone hurts me...and they must be sincere. If they are not sincere..I will not forgive that person! They help fixing what you did wrong...even if they can't fix it at all.

An apologies are necessary, they tell the hurt party that you know that you have done something wrong and did not mean to do it. Now if you are not sorry, then an apologies are useless empty words. It is the polite and for the sake of others that we say: "Sorry."

They will help. If I were to trip you and walk away, what would you think of me? Now if I were to do the same and help you help and say that "I am sorry, are you ok?" What would you think?
