well i guess it has to be kim morrison since he was the face of the doors... but light my fire... which was i guess their most record breaking voice was entirlely the work of robby krieger(the guitarist) and manzareks brilliant solo on the organ...

Seems Jim got all the attention to the point it seems a vocal with a supporting group. This is far from the true, he might have been the fronman, the big personality but the songs shows an excellent group work and very good musicians doinng a great job.
See the new pics with the band.

Of course everyone is going to pick jim morrison, The figure head of the Doors... and I like hime too. But Ray Manzarek was the next greatest member. Great keyboard solos and playing in general. Great player.

Of course it's Jim, I don't even know the names of any of the other members :-) Great music though.

I liked Jim Morrison, of course, but for me the heart of the group was Ray Manzarek on keyboards. His riveting organ solo on "Light My Fire" (the album cut) was one of the best I've ever heard in the genre. Manzarek's footprints (or handprints, if you will) were all over the Doors' greatest hits (Twentieth Century Fox, Soul Kitchen, When the Music's Over, the End, etc.).
