You know, that is a tough one. I go through everything that he brings home. I save the really cute stuff that they do. I save everything else for about 2 weeks. If he doesn't ask for it or seem to need it again I usually throw it away.

I always feel guilty when I throw it away.

I used to keep all of the artworks my kids would bring. I saved only two or three from each year from each kid and discard the rest of them.

So far I´ve kept everything, frome the first attempts to do something that could be called abstract artwork (lol) up until now. All the artistic work is kept in different folders.
I have no intention of throwing anything away so far, because I know I would regret it afterwards.
It would make me feel as if I´m throwing my child´s efforts in the bin.
Then again, that´s me, hopelessly sentimental.

My son is 22 years old and I still have a box of his artwork from school, mostly from his kindergarten class. Plus I have all the christmas decorations he made for me. Some of them are pretty worn but I still have to put them up at christmas time.

I'm very sentimental.I have loads of stuff and photos also.I plan to give them to them later when They are all married and settled.Hubby and I both have childhood stuff.I like to look at his things and he mine.It is nice for the kids to see how different things are now.

When my kids first went to school, I kept everything...I mean everything..right down to every scrap of paper their little fingers may have touched.
After a couple of years I had quite a large stack saved up. I sorted through it once when i was moving and picked out the most important. i didnt see a need to keep 40 pages of my son trying to print the letter S, so i kept one and tossed the others.
Now that they are older, I keep assignments that required long research or time. All Report cards and progress cards and any artwork that actually means something to them.
I keep it all in boxes, with their names on it.
