The things you have to do for money...

Anyway, this is a question that I can't quite answer myself, but what would you do for money? How low would you go and for how much?
I don't know what I'd do, but if I was very hungry or something similar, I'd probably steal from someone. I don't know if I'd go any lower... I shudder to think!
(There's a live acoustic performance recording of Queen's "Love of My Life" where Freddie Mercury tells the audience "The things you have to do for money..." and then he gives a hearty chuckle "Haaa-haaaa..."... great song! :)

If it meant that I would be able to feed and clothe my children or not I could and would do some pretty nasty things to keep them fed. Not murder or anything like that, but if it was for my kids, I go alot further than I would if it was just for myself.

i can do anything 4 money provided it is not against my country, ppl, or law. i wont do anything which will let my parents down. but i can live 365 days away from my family n spouse just to earn bloody money as i belong to middle class family. n i would love to live larger than life figure n 4 that one needs money n 4 money i can do anything but not everything

That's a very difficult question to answer. I would find it very difficult to steal anything. I would probably tell my family that I have no money and I know they would help. Before I do that, I would try to sell everything I have in the house and just keep the bare essentials. It is hard to know, as I have never been in that situation.

Oh, I was thinking of a worst case scenario, where you have absolutely no one to resort to!
I'm pretty sure I'd part with many things before resorting to stealing too. Although it would break my heart to let go of certain items... it's funny how you can get attached to things, sometimes even if they're worthless!
It really is a difficult question to answer, but I also think it's interesting to think about it. Self-assessment is important! ;)

I don't think I would ever kill anyone, but it has crossed my mind at times when people really upset me and post rude comments...lol.....
Seriously, I think people will get their most desperate if they are hungry.
To steal just because you want more money for the sake of having money is one thing, but if someone steals to live, that is different.
It does not make it right. But it is at least a sensible reaon.

Yes, that's also my reasoning. But what bothers me is this: would I be able to do something even worse than stealing? It's very difficult to answer this, it must be one of those things that you have to experience to know for sure. I hope I never get to that point.
