I think nursing in public is fine, I don't have a problem with it at all, if babies hungry, he/she should be fed, it doesn't worry me if the mother happens to be in a quiet corner or not. For me, seeing a mum nursing a baby tells me that mum cares about baby and is prepared to take time out to feed baby. Truth be known, most of us normal red blooded males wouldn't object to seeing a bit of boob too, lol.

I was able to do with with my kids I would of done it. I say do it if you can and it doesn't bug me when they are in public. But like another person stated I just don't see why some people continue to nurse a toddler that is age 2,3, and 4. I have actually seen a news story about a mother that nursed her 5 year old. I think when they are able to ask for boob it is time to get them on regular milk and a sippy cup/cup.

I love seeing a mother nursing her child. I get a very protective urge and any prude who objected would get a very short response from me.
It is a foundation of life, primeval, and very natural.
I was shocked be a response above that children should be protected from seeing a mother nursing! Isn't it the very best way of teaching them one of the facts of life to actually see it?

it depends alot on the mothers demeanor. if the baby is hungry and needs to eat then of course, nurse in public.
if the mom's trying to make a point about nursing in public, i'm very much against this practice, i feel it's exploitation of the baby.
i nurse my baby and if he's hungry in a public place i try to find a quiet comfortable place to sit down and satisfy that need. i will try to be discreet for the public and for my babys comfort
i will NEVER hide in a restroom, that's just nasty.
and my babies first birthday is just one week away...he's showing no interest in weaning.....sooooo looks like i'll be nursing a todler too, until we are both ready to give it up.
