He threw up all night and is just laying around. He won't eat or drink. Could this be because of the pencil?

Yes. It is not a good thing for anyone to eat. There's that horrible flavor that it leaves for who knows how long. I've had the same experience and some days I can still taste it...Years later. Good thing it's pretty much all been tossed out of the system but even still, the puking can sometimes double-up or triple-down, remind him all the more of that nasty taste. Say it with him... "We will never eat pencil again, we will never eat pencil again, right?" Hope he feels better really soon, like now! XOX

I was really looking for a serious response.

Please forgive my seemingly joking manner in which my words were conveyed, I was being totally serious about every word I wrote to you-believe me-It was only as I wrote the last few words that I glanced up once again at your question and realized-this DOG that ate pencil. To me, -Puppy-or-Kid-It makes NO difference. My words hold true and were/are for you-in truth. What, you don't talk to the dog? "NO! Pencil's are yuck-y!"

Well the lead in those pencils, aren't really lead. Its suppose to be non-toxic. I would consult a physician though.

Yes, I would think so, because it's got lead. I've heard of people getting lead poisoning, so why not dogs?
