India has a very old history and culture. Right from the Indus Valley Civilization India played a major role in the development and shaping of humanity.
For examble the use of zero. Zero is believed to be invented by ancient indians. The roots of algebra are in India. Kanadan an ancient Indian philosopher has opined that matter is constituted of minute particles now known as atoms.
In the field of politics the Ardha sasthra by Koutilya alias Chanakya is supposed to be the first meaningful study of practices to be followed by rulers in ruling a country.
There are so many other achievements by ancient Indians to be pointed out.
My question is do you find any significance in the role played by India in the contemporory world? I invite Indians and others to come out with their opinions.

Very nice to hear that you have some roots in India. I understand there are many people of the Indian origin in the Caribian islands of Jamaica, Guyana etc. Your cricketers Shiv Narayn Chandarpaul and Ram Naresh Sarwan are of Indian origin. You are most welcome to India Sidoney. Thank you for the response.

I completely agree with you. But the reason behind our forgotten glory is 200 years of british rule and ignorance. India is great source of knowledge, culture & spirituality. After WW-II US became the world leader and show his supremacy to the entire world. They used to take complemt of every thing. Whether it is in science or math. Now Its time to vote for India........
