There were some interesting revelations tonight
as well as some new mysteries. Is it me or is it
too much of a coincidence that the cat on the island
is or perhaps (thanks to Locke) was named Nadia. Do
you remember who else was named Nadia? It's also weird
that the two cats looked alike.
Apparently the Dharma Initiative knew of the hostiles,
(others?). At least that's what the code 77 was for.
Locke screwed up big time, it's not like him. He's
usually quite logical. Too bad we won't ever know
what else could have been used or discovered in the hut.
I'm starting to think there's more to Danielle's link
to the Others. The fact that she was so quick to retreat
when Sayid was going to check out the one eyed man. Then
she's so quick to want to kill him.
I have to tell you people, the Others are very highly
educated. On top of each of their specialties, it's come
to light over the last several episodes that they're
well versed in many languages.
It's about time the rest of the Losties started sticking
up for themselves against Sawyer. I like Sawyer but the
character's attitude is starting to get old.
Etc., etc., etc., ‹(°¿°)›

I like Sawyer as well. Sometimes though, his
character can really get on your nerves. Of
course that's because he's been a loner all
his life and pushes people away.
Where are you downloading the episode from?
I have a friend in the Philippines who wants
to catch up with season 3.

When the hatch implode/explode thing happened it disabled all communition to the outside world. But the Dharma food thing makes me think that the Dharma Initiative/Others(DIO) merger is a dominating force in the world. They obviously had to buy the food and boxes they come in which means they have a decent amount of monetary unit. So how far does their control reach? The medical supplies also show this. What is funny though is that the hatches contain such outdated equipment. The computers and monitoring stations look ancient. Whats with that? Is it just a case of - if it aint broke don't fix it, or is there something else to it? So when will they get a shipment of new communications equipment? I can't imagine that DIOs not on the island won't eventually wonder whats up if they don't hear from those on the island. So 'Team Crash Party' should act fast and try to take control before reinforcements arrive.
Whoa!is right! This show just keeps gettin better!

Like we've been saying about the purge. The Others
who were on the island first before the Dharma folks
tried to convert the Initiative scientists. Those that
wouldn't were purged (killed). The food that comes in
air drops is still a mystery. Why would it keep coming
if the mainland Dharma Initiative haven't heard from
their scientists. Then again, some of their scientists
are part of the Others now. However, you would think
the mainland would want results to the experiments they
were sent there to perform in the first place.
A reason why the equipment is antiquated may be that
the Dharma Initiative project was terminated long ago.
However, than that wouldn't explain why the food drops
keep coming. So many mysteries, so many questions.
As you put it, Team Crash Party is going to have to
come to blows with the Others sooner than later.

I like how the show is beginning to come together and questions are beginning to be answered.
I also wonder about the food drops. I had a thought that the Dharma people and the "others" are still fighting and that the Dharma group knows about the crash survivors, who are caught in the middle. Perhaps they're dropping the food in order to either help them, or get them on their side.
Are the "others" connected to the Hanso Foundation? There was a link to it on the Lost site. But it appears the Hanso site is changing.

Nevermind, I just realized that the Hanso Foundation founded the Dharma Initiative. But, still, could that be where the conflict between the DIO and the "others" lie?

The last few times I checked there, there was only a long letter from Mr. Hanso. The whole thing about extending life, etc., was no longer there.

I really think the conflict is over with the Dharma
Initiative and the Others. Whoever converted to the
Others survived the rest were purged, (killed). It
appears the same thing is happening between the
Losties and the Others. The only difference is, the
Losties aren't cooperating. Most of them at least.
Remember the handful of Losties we forgot about, who
showed back up a few episodes ago in front of Jack's
cage? They, I believe have converted.
By the way. Does the Hanso site still have the mysterious
link? I'll have to to look.

yea it was definately suspenseeful. Nadia was the name of the girl who sayid tortured. And it was also the cats name. I swear everyone on that island has some kind of animal tied to them. For kate it was the horse, polar bears for everyone, and now for sayid its the cat. LOST just seems to be dragging along to me now. I want them to get off that island so bad now, and I want Jack to come back. Locke just screwed up. He was a big dummy this last episode. He decided to play chess instead of watching the man. I wonder what we are going to find out next week.

I agree, there's a fascinating connection between
the Losties and different animals. Hand in there
queenajasmina it's getting better. I believe next
week is going to be pretty fiery. We knew the guy
was going to free himself the minute Locke went to
play chess. That was out of his character. He's
usually quite logical.
We are supposed to find out about a close connection
between two of the Losties. I've heard rumors but I
won't say anything to either look stupid or to give
away anything.

I thought the story of the 'purge' was very interesting. And I bet that is exactly what happened. The DHARMA people came along to do their experiments. The 'hostiles' were already there. I think Ben is an original hostile as well as Tom and perhaps the sheriff lady, can't remember her name. I'm going to bet that some of the dharma people slowly merged with the hostiles for whatever reasons. Like Juliette for example. The ones who merged lived, the ones who resisted were killed. This may be way off track, but that's what it looks like at this point.
I loved the whole Sawyer thing. I thought it was great coming up with the no nick names for a week thing. That's total punishment for him.

I totally agree. Those who came with the Dharma Initiative
either converted to the Others (hostiles) or were purged.
The sheriff's name is Isabelle. Someone correct me if I'm
wrong. I don't think you're way off track. It sounds just
about right to me. The no nicknames punishment is funny.

Sayid's gf was also named Nadia. Remember the photo he carried in Season 1?
Spoilers*******When that guy kidnapped him and the woman came in, I almost thought that was her. But I can't remember. The fact that the cat looked like the other cat was kinda weird. It reminded me of that horse that Kate saw. As for Locke, I figured that the reason the place was wired was because of the hostiles. I don't think there was any reason to keep the station anyway since everything was broken. I was surprised that the woman spoke Russian and told the guy to shoot her. If both her and the Russian were actually Others (or the Hostiles/natives as Dharma referred to them) I have to wonder why they were both able to speak Russian. When they took over Dharma did they also benefit from all the genetic and scientific experiments that were going on? It's very intriguing.

Yeah I know who Nadia was. I was asking to see who
else remembered. I had to look twice myself when she
came in. I'm wondering if the Others disabled the
satellite and sonar. We'll never know now. All I can
figure out about the two of them speaking Russian is
that all the Others must be very highly educated, besides
their field of specialty. Don't forget, the one they
call the Sheriff speaks Chinese.

yes, it is about time! last week i saw the first episode of the third series! so i think we are behind America with the episodes!
but i hope at the end of the season we found out what is going on there, i think 3 series must be enough!

i don't think 3 seasons is enough they can't answer all the mysteries knowing they always add up questions every episode .. i think we're just going to find out more about "the others" on this season.. but not much about the whole thing happening on the island!

jolanda33, I believe fs_joanne is right. We will
need at least one more season to begin to unravel
all the mysteries. That's if they don't add many
more mysteries. Be patient, it gets better.

Are you folks in the Philippines on the same
episode as us in the states? The most recent
is the one with the one eye guy. I'd hate to
give away too much to those who are a little
behind.
In the beginning Sawyer's attitude was funny
and entertaining but as the show has moved
forward, it's really getting old. I hope the
writers have recognized this and perhaps we'll
see some changes.

Sawyer's alright in my book. What Sun did was the
ultimate dis to Sawyer. That was great when he slammed
Danny's head against feed button. I saw that coming
when they started fighting. I glad, for his character's
sake, he didn't kill him.
I thought that was awesome when Juliet waxed him but after
the last show with the one eye guy, I'm not so convinced
about where she stands. Remember, patchy killed the black
woman on her request. I have a feeling the Others do this
because it's better for the greater good.
The love triangle between Kate, Jack and Sawyer gives the
show spice. Besides, you know Kate, she plays people for
whatever she needs.

Lost is an exciting TV series. The doctor Jack, the hero, is actually the leader of the surviving victims from the wrecked aircraft. He is captured and being prisoned a like animal in a cage. After help his fellow people, Sawyer and Kate to escape, he was all alone. How can he escape with loads of "hostile guys" monitoring him closely? This is what I want to know.
@jumpinjack00 (3054)

I don't think he's got a chance of escaping on
his own. It will be some sort of effort from the
rest of the Losties. How they're going to do it
is beyond me. Are you guys in Hong Kong on the
same episode as us in the U.S.? We are obviously
on the current episode with the one eye man.

Do we have any conclusive evidence that the other's are for certain different from the Dharma people?? Is it possible they are one and the same?? I mean, think about it... the Dharma guy on the video said to press '77' if there had been an 'invasion of the hostiles'... what if the Lost crew are the said 'hostiles' they were looking out for? And the ones we call 'others' are in fact Dharma? Then, if a Lost member came across the computer and heard 'press 77 if the hostiles invaded', he would assume the 'others' were the hostiles, press the button and get himself blown up. Is it possible it was a trap?? i don't know... so much about this show confuses me, but I'm completely addicted and love to hear new theories!!

At this point there is no concrete evidence either way.
However, if you go by what several have said than you
would believe the two groups are not the same.
Ben said he was born on the island. He appears to be in
his late 40s to early 50s. That would make it impossible
considering the Dharma Initiative arrived in the mid 70s.
The Russian guy, Patchy, said that the hostiles were there
10 years before Dharma. Of course we found out he was lying
about who he is but he said everything else he said was true.
If you take into consideration the other survivors of the
crash who were kidnapped by the Others, who appear to now
be fine with their situation, than that would collaborate
with Patchy's story about being converted. It seems that
the "purge" is happening to our friends the Losties.
Everything we know right now is only by word of mouth.

There are cats in the island? Who are their owners? Isnt Nadia sayid's gf back in iraq/us?
Are you saying that the members of the dharma initiative project arent the others?

Well, we've only seen the cat once in the most recent
episode. We'll just have to wait and see. It's a very
beautiful white and gray cat.

At this point there is one cat. It appears to belong
to the one eye man but probably to all of the Others.
You're right Nadia was Sayid's girlfriend's name. As
far as I'm concerned the Dharma Initiative and the
Others started out as two different groups. I really
hope that site will work for you. I'd love to talk to
you in detail about recent things.

Yeah they have finally been answering some questions. I like Sayid too so it was especially goof episode for me. I could do without Charlie and Claire though.

I'm not sure what to say when it comes to Charlie.
He has pretty much outworn his use. He's not really
anyones friend. He's not attached to Claire anymore.
Unless they build his character up more than I too
wouldn't mind seeing him as the next to die, as they've
been hinting at.
Claire and her baby Aaron are a different story. We'll
hear more about her in the near future I'm sure. We need
to know more about why there is something special about
Aaron. Ever since she first went to the Psychic, we are
led to believe there's something odd going on.
