I sat down to read some mail. Jumped into MyLot, made some comments.
Came back to mail, went to Gather.com - respond to some mail there.
Again to read mail - filled out offer for free samples on internet
Whoops, new question in MyLot, must answer this one, oh and an upset Mom, must answer her, hope she feels better and and answer this one too...a design question, I can help.
Back to mail, a link to the news - would you look at that, and wow that looks good too.
Try to upload a picture to Gather.com - oh no, it won't upload, it is too big, edit the picture, still won't upload, read an article related to my new job. Joined a group.
Dang picture still won't upload.
Back to mail - mmmm Pogo...must check it out.
Now it is some 5 hours later less then 10 pieces of mail read - I must take a speed reading course.

The internet and caffeine causes ADD with me. ha ha
I will sign on with the intentions of checking my email...but then decide that I want to see where my earnings for the previous day is at.
From there I will see that I have private messages and then remember I needed to check my email. I open my email to see over 600 messages of which 99% of those are myLot notifications. Oh wait! I have messages on myLot...an email notification reminded me of that. OK...respond to those but my best friend/adopted sister has sent me a link to a great discussion! Cool!
OK, now back to me emails...I respond to a few there and realize that I am never going to get through 600 email notifications. I will take a break from those and check out the discussions my best friend/adopted sister responded to. I love reading what she has written! And she gives pretty awesome advice also!
Oops...out of coffee. Need more.
I come back and there is a new private message.
Another great discussion or a friend saying hi that I just met on myLot. :)
OK...back to email...knock a couple more out of the inbox! Yea!
Wait...I didn't finish going through my best friend/adopted sister's responses.
Oops...it might be a good idea to take a look and comment to discussions I made myself. (My best friend/adopted sister responded to reminded me of that.)
Wait...how many have I actually not gotten done in a few hours, two cups of coffee, and 4 trips to the bathroom? 12!!! That's it! What the heck have I been doing???? Oh shoot! I need to take the dogs out to pee too!

LOL My dog has got till he scratches me on the leg so hard that he leaves marks to get me to take him out for a potty break. I am not giving him enough attention or so he thinks. LOL

the poor dogs, I have a laptop and last night all of a sudden I had the feeling of being watched and I was. My guys were staring at me, dinner was several hours late and they had to go out.
What was worse was I had to pee as bad as they did and I did not realize it.
Thanks, Brokentia, at least I now know I am not alone.

Exactly, we never know how many great things there are in the world until we find them on the internet.

I am the same way; doing several things at one time - computer is my best friend when I'm at home, alone...I have a small mirror that I've positioned on my desk; it faces the TV so I can watch/listen at same time. Everything is backward but as long as I don't try to read the words, I'm all right. Actually, I'm getting pretty good at reading upside down and backwards, I guess you'd say. I have several windows open simultaneously and go back and forth between everything...lol

Yup, multiple windows, I usually have about 10 or 15 browser windows open and a few programs. But I am lucky, I have a notebook computer.
I can face any direction I want.

LOL You was there only 5 hours, you are really to be commended. I spend at least 5 hours on gather and then another 5 on mylot and never seem to my email done. I have over 16000messages in my emial and hope to get caught up someday but someday never comes. Glad you are injoying gather too. I was thinking that the internet was making me senile because I cant remember what housework I was supposed to be doing?

Well, I would spend more, but I spent 8 hours at work and then a few hours commuting. And I do sleep on occasion.
Senile, you say, what is housework?
