Stray dogs do not choose their situation. Many are very faithful animals and will remain loyal after a health check-up. My brother found a dog nearly frozen by the freeway (and had one ear missing) and adopted it. The dog was very loving and well behaved.
I have also taken in a stray dog. He never chewed furniture and never did his business inside the house. He made everyone fall in love with him, even strangers. He did have a health issue which is why he was probably 'discarded'. He was loving and loyal until his last breath. Twenty years have gone by, and I still miss him.

I don't think it is a good thing to adopt stray dogs as you don't know what disease it might carry. The only option to stop the problem of stray dogs is to ask the owner of the dogs to have love for them and not simply leave them somewhere outside the road straying.

Stray puppies if adopted will grow as a very loyal, and faithfuful pets than pigiries, they are also sharper than pedigiries. Thisz the best wasy even to control the stray dog population. At the same time we should not forget to feed the stray dogs with left overs instead of throwing them in a Bin.
