How did you pick your kids names?

I have 4 kids and all of their names were picked with some reason behind them. My oldest is named after an older lady that I adored when I was very young, our second daughter was named in honor of my sister's baby that she lost in gestation. Our third was named after my grandmother and mother. Our youngest is named after one of my cousin's girls. How did you pick your kids names?

I am the last child of ten and i am without children yet. But i do plan on taking names from my side of the family and my husbands side as well. Most likey my deceased mother and his deceased grandmother...

we picked our boys names because they are easy to say in english & spanish. My husband's family lives in Cuba and my family is in the states. Come to find out later when I was looking in a baby name book, they both mean "Gift from God" what a coincidence huh? My eldest's middle name is my Grandfather's name and my youngest's middle name is my husband's father's name.

The meaning behind our childrens names... now that is a topic!!
All my kids have special names...
My oldest, Kenneth William Earl : Kenneth after my Grandfather and my husbands best friend. Earl, after my Grandfather on my mothers side. William after my husband.
And... I called him Momma's sweet honey baby so he went by that for a long time (still does to me). lol And he would introduce himself when he was little as... Kenneth William Earl ___ Mommas sweet honey baby but you can call me willie!!
My middle son, Christopher Cory Daniel : Cory after my husbands best friend, Daniel after my husband and Christopher because my oldest wanted to name him Christopher! and I called him Christopher Darling..!!
My youngest son, Jonathon Edward McRae : Jonathon because I love the name Jonathon and I was a tomboy when I was young and gave myself the name jonny..he he Edward after my Grandfather and my husbands brother, and McRae after my father.
and I called him Jon-Jon baby...!!
I have a girls name ready but all I had was boys!!!

We only have 1 daughter at the moment & we named her after 2 of her Great Grandmothers. My partner's Nana who is still with us & my Mum's Mum who passed when my Mum was 17!
