Do you report your online earnings in your taxes?

In the paper today there was an article about how the government are going to try to search for those who aren't reporting their ebay earnings etc. Have any of you heard about this? Do you report any of your online earnings on your taxes or do you believe that you shouldn't?

Heck, I think that the income tax is wrong, but that doesn't stop me from paying it (I don't want to go to jail.) However, I also believe in the "gray" market where you can avoid reporting and paying taxes. I'm sure that the IRS will get them in the end, but I hope its many years from now! I've heard they've tried to get GARAGE SALES in the past & most cities only allow 2 sales at the same address a year. More than that & they consider it a business. I have to admit that the reason I found out about that one was a house near when I lived growing up had one every few weeks & had a lot of furniture & caused a traffic hazzard.

I hadn't heard about garage sales being reported. That's interesting, I don't see how it would be possible though.

I don't think you'd ever have to declare the pittance you earn here. Don't worry!

I don't think you have to report your earnings until you hit $600... I think. I'm not sure though, but I think that's what I heard. I'm not too worried about it though. I haven't really made any money online yet or atleast cashed out at any of the places that I earn money on.
