Why do we need other people?

This comment reminds me of a rooster I use to have. He was the only one and had never heard a rooster crow, so he didn't know what he was supposed to sound like. That was the craziest sound I ever heard in my life! This stupid rooster would go OOOH OOOH OOHH ERER ERER ERARRRGH I thought it was being killed by a dog or something! So I guess if never heard anyone talk to from birth, we wouldn't know what we were supposed to sound like and we'd have a terrible case of speech impediment. They've done studies on children that have had no human interraction. They were never held or rocked and never spoken to. They just cared for their physical needs but not their emotional needs. They became lethargic and failed to thrive. Without friends and family, we're just miserable and have nothing to live for. Maybe that's why the elderly who have no one visiting them usually die sooner than those who do. We need our friends for more than just downline members in our biz opps. We need them to help us live.

Exactly. People are interrelated with one another. I could imagine the rooster how sad it was knowing there was no hen at all. See how dull life may be if all you've got to have are plants and the animals? They can't speak like any other people. They can't understand how we feel. And much more, they can't understand what LOVE is. LOVE is the only feeling that makes human beings more unique to every creature. So, we need human friends. We need human relationships. We need people to live our life with. :) THanks also for marking me as your best response ;)

Do you think it would be possible to live in solitary confinement, with no human interraction for any length of time? I really do believe that relationships are not only beneficial to our mental health, but necessary for our very survival.
