Interesting .. and the answer is 'not yet' ... I have only just purchased my laptop so haven't risked taking it anywhere there is a remote possibility of damage occuring to it.
I'll take a book or a magazine to the toilet - and needless to say my mobile phone as well. As for the laptop ... don't be placing ideas in my head :)

no. i just use toilet like a toilet not the bed room or playing room :P so i dont take suck stuff with me in the toilet. i think we should finish our business there insted of hanging it taking that kind of stuff with us and diverting our intention. its not good place to live :P

Taking laptop to the toilet is too conplication, too much things to concentrate a one time, too much multi tasking to coordinate. High risk as well, the laptop might drop...
Reading a book or newspaper is still possible, do not need to fear that you will wet or drop it into the bowl. Anyway, newspaper is going to be recycle after reading.

I have a special trick to use laptop on toilet.
I put laptop on lavandry-basket top and pull it near toilet.
This way it won't fall down and brake...
I don't think that it is more complicated than bring book or newspapers on toilet, as laptop don't need an electricity source (have battery) and an internet cable (have a WLAN).
