Well there is the BIBLICAL story of the tower of Bable isn' there? Ihave heard of that one where they wanted to build a tower to reach God and God said..'HEY GUYS THAT'S A DEFINITE NO NO'..so He decided tomake them all speak in different tongues so they couldn't communicate..So many thousands of years later and we still can'tget it right lol..

THis is also what I believed,After the flood,the people were worried that maybe God would destroy the earth again,so they talked to one another and decided to build a tower,so even there will be another flood to come they would have a place where they could stay.But the Lord confound the language so the people would not understand with each other,the Lord is against for what the people were doing, the tower was named "Babel"because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth.Genesis chapter 11.
