David Walliams and Matt Lucas are going to be in an episode in character as Lou and Andy. According to the Neighbours website they had a sketch in their stageshow about Harold Bishop and they recreated it to the apprent bemusement of some of the actors, (not on camera) and their day on set was described as being "kerfuffle free" :-) This is one of the silliest things I've ever read, no idea how this is going to work, are they going to play the characters completly straight? If they were playing themselves like other famous or semi famous people have done when making a guest appearence it would make sense but incorperating the comedy idea into a normal episode of neighbours? Is Little Briten even shown in Austrailia?

I'm from the UK too and really can't see why they have done this. i don't see how it will work and it can only be cringeworthy. surprised neighbours bods agreed to it.

It won't be shown here for a couple of years and I can't see how they will fit into Neighbours but it will funny I'm sure probably because they don't fit. Australians certainly won't get it if they haven't seen Little Britain though the joke with Lou and Andy is pretty obvious so it shouldn't confuse them too much.

it's a BBC comedy sketch show - done in the style of a docusoap looking at the people of Britain. Matt Lucus & David Wallaims play most of the characters. Lou and Andy are a man in a wheel chair (who's really just lazy) and his carer (whose not very bright). The two main jokes are Andy wanting something bought or done for him despite having claimed he didn't like it, then changing his mind - "I want that one!" and sneaking out of his wheelchair to do something without Lou noticing. According to the creators they're (very) loosly based on Lou Reed and Andy Warhol.

Um, seriously? I love Neighbours and quite like Little Britain...but I REALLY can't see how they'll fit something so cheesy as Lou and Andy into Neighbours =S
