I learnt this in Biology 112, Blood inside the body, is blue, that is why the viens are blue. And when you first bruise its a blackish blue. However when blood leaves the body, as soon as Oxygen hits it it turns red, so by the time you see the blood it is red. You will never see blue blood. But it is blue.
