I've had a few family web sites (blogs) over the last few years. This is how I kept long distance family members up to date with our little family. I always enjoyed posting photos of my children for family to see, until I received a creepy post on my blog. This man was saving my children's photos, telling me how beautiful they were. Of course I had the state and city I lived in on the blog, duh. After this happened I put tight restrictions on a new blog I started, it was password protected. On this site you could find out if any strangers were hacking in or saving photos. Well, eventually someone unwanted got in, so I gave up. I deleted our last family web site. I'm not sure if I'll ever start another one and now I just email personal photos to family. All I can say is please be cautious with your personal information and photos!

My initial response to your question is YES. After reading through your discussion, my answer could be a NO.
It is rather convenient to post family photos on our blog so that family members can keep in touch and get updated quickly. With your unfortunate encounter, we could upload family photos to an unlisted webpage. So that outsiders will not be able to access so easily. It could take up a lot of loading time if we send photos through emails.
One other option could be to use a webcam for communication so everybody can see each other at the same time.

Nope, I don't want to add my family pics in my blog.
I don't put m real photo too. I think keeping my real ID is more interesting for people.
What do ou think ?
