How come BOSS always pinpoint your mistakes but they never compliment ?

Are most bosses out there always pinpointing your staffs the mistakes but you never compliment when they do things right.I think everyone should deserve the compliment when you does something good or right.It will boost up the morale.Then they will have better impression of the bosses.Don't you think so?

Well fortunatly it's just you how have a terrible boss. My boss would never to anything like that.

I think it is to make them look better, I know every tome I do a good job, or have a good idea, my boss seems to get the credit! I have to do twice the work, for half the pay and get no credit!
I did have a good boss at one time. She was always behind us if a problem arose and compliment every one when it was deserved. Do you know she had a lower absentism rate than the other supervisors. I think it is a big part of morale!
