WC brings out the bowler in yuvraj....who must be the fifth bowler for india..?

Yuvraj bowled well in the warm up game against the netherlands. But we have Tendulkar too who's been doing the fifth bowler job along with Sehwag for a long time. But with Yuvraj bowling so well on spinner friendly wicket,and we may see more such wickets, it would be a good idea to try him as the fifth bowler. He is slow in pace and that can turn out to be his strength as the ball gets softer after a while and batsmen won't find it easy to hit him for big sshots.

I feel sachin would begiven first preference as he has the most variety can bowl leg spin, off spin, googly and lot of expereince bolwing at this level. Besides sachin has been doing well with bowl recently getting crucial wickets. Then yuvraj can bowl left arm spin when needed as he did in the first warmup match getting 4 wickets. So he will be handy bolwer. Plus there i sehwag, sourav would could also bowl giving lot of option to India captain.

i dont think we will use him as the fifth bowling option. we already have enough strenght in spin bowling with the lights of sachin and sehwag with the legends kumble and bajji but if it is yuvrajs day then no one can stop him. he proved that he can do something with ball also. but sachin proved his class against worldclass teams. not to small teams like holland. lets wait and see what will happen this time.

All are good in their bowling department...But, I would prefer to go with sehwag only...coz his action is similar to the action of arshad which is in pakistan team and he is a regular bowler of pak team...So, sehwag will be the better choice....I guesss

there should be a sharing of over among other players like,ganguly,sehwag and sachin..that was the previous strategy and this will work more now.

anybody of dem can b a fifth option for d 5'th bowler.but in my opinion sachin would b a better option bec he has d experience as well as a good bowler.

I think India should go in with 5 bowlers. If their top six batsman cannot do the job, then the team cannot win the world cup. So, always should go in with 5 bowlers, use the rest of them if necessary. Sehwag, Sachin and Yuvaraj can do something. But, we should not go in with them as the 5th bowler. My choice would be Zaheer Khan, Agarkar, Pathan, Harbhajan, Kumble/ Munaf Patel as the bowlers. With Agarkar and Pathan's batting capabilities, it should be OK. What happened to India in the last world cup? They always played only 4 bowlers. In the final, when Zaheer bowled that dreadful first over, there was no extra bowler to turn to.
