WATER! YES! Thats what goes through my dog's head when we take her to the river. Once she's in theres no getting her out. Especailly if we hop in the water! And fetching a stick, its a sintch! She's really funny, too. I think the funniest thing she has ever done in water is when she approached a huge rock in the water and was confused by it. She didn't know what it was so she growled and barked at it to scare it away. Obviously the rock wasn't going to go anywhere. It was silly! The things dogs do! Has your dog done anything this silly in water?

I have a lab that loves water as well. He loves to stick his head under water and pull up that algea stuff that grows on the bottom. It is gross, but funny to watch him do.

Haha go figure, my dog is a lab also. We could throw a rock and she'll go for that, but she never finds it because in a river there are millions of rocks, but she always picks on up anyway to try and fool us into thinking she found it. ; ) It is fun to watch them play.

We have a dog who is part black lab and she loves to play in the water. Sometimes she gets so excited that she'll run over to the edge of the river or lake and start digging frantically. It's funny to watch because her ears will be pinned all the way back and there will be mud and water flying up behind her as she digs. It's quite a sight to see!

My black labrador is a what dog also. If he disappears and I call for him, he ends up popping up from the creek and dripping he runs to me. I always hope he stops to shake before he gets to me. The other dogs will watch him as if to ask what are you doing. During high summer when the water is lower he will go and lay down in the water in the shade. He seems to think of it as his own spot. Funny boy.

I saw yours is a labrador and they do go nuts with water. THey love it. One reason I won't have one where I live now. I live in Florida and there are all these lakes, with gators in them. Gators love dog meat and will go nuts themselves to get so I won't get a lab because I don't want to worry.
We had a couple while I was growing up in Michigan. The one though Tarbaby was great. Problem came in when I got a kiddie pool. I filled it all up, went inside to get my suit on, came out and the dog was in the pool before I was :) She had a ball in it and so did I. So it worked out great but as a kid I was upset she got in before I did.

I just got a puppy in the early winter so I have not had him to the river yet even though the rive is right across the road from my home. I hate to take him there for the first time. I be there is no getting him out too. LOL
