The occurence of Heart Attacks is predominantly in the first half of the day. Recent studies show that skipping Breakfast can act as a catalyst for the occurence of the Heart Attack. How many of you have regular breakfast and how many of you skip it? Also how many of you think that you breakfast is adequate without being too much.

Ya that is right.. It found that those who ate whole-grain breakfast cereals seven or more times a week had a 28 percent lower chance of developing heart failure. Previous research has shown that eating whole-grain cereals in the morning can lower cholesterol, reduce blood pressure and improve concentration. These health effects are attributed to the cereals' high content of fiber and complex carbohydrates.

Its really a fact that our breakfast must really be rich as there is a long gap between our dinner and and breakfast. In Tamil there is a saying that we should have breakfast as a king, our lunch should be as that of minister and dinner should be as that of begger. As we are not supposed to eat much for our dinner. As we sleep of once our dinner is over the digestion gets delayed. So we should take our breakfast rich in vitamins, proteins and water.

I didn't used to eat breakfast regularly until I found out I was diabetic. Now I try to eat breakfast every single day. I mix it up though. Some days I eat eggs and toast, sometimes cold cereal with milk and other days I will eat oatmeal and fruit. I get really bored if I eat the same things every single day. Oh, and I always have a large glass of icey cold water with my meals. Sometimes, I will have hot lemonade to drink, but I like ice water best.

I try to get a regular breakfast. When I was on a diet I try to skip breakfast but I've read that skipping a meal will slow down your metabolism and will increase your chances of gaining weight so I try not to skip breakfast but I only eat moderately. But I've read that having a big breakfast will lessen your tendency to overeat the rest of the day.
