Do you perfer blind or curtains for your windows or both?

I have blinds on my windows as of now.I feel that no one can see in that way.I know if you get darker or thicker curtains they probably couldnt see in either but my kids would probablyhave the curtians pulled down.I always keep the blind cords up out of reach from my children and also sometimes raise blinds that they can reach so they cannot tear them up or hurt themselves.I might try curtains as well as my blinds for some of my rooms because I notice that the blinds somtimes leave a little side gap.I guess is depends on how the window frams are made and how you can put them up.

It depends on which one fits more to my room. Like now, I put blinds on the windows of my room because mostly, the sun's rays pass through the window and I hate it because it makes the room warmer. SO I put blinds on it so at least, the rays won't be able to pass through. On the other room where there is airconditioning, my roomate is more comfortable to place curtains on her window.
And yeah, I agree with you. It basically depends on the window frames too. :)

Though I prefer curtains, I have blinds on the north and eastern side of my house where the sun shines the most. I was raised with blinds, but found them (and still do) so difficult to keep clean. I've had shades, but they decay with too much sun or become faded or discolored. My cats hate hte blinds because they get caught in them, especially when going after a tasty fly or moth - LOL!

Yeah they can be a pain to clean.I usually take along duster brush and roll them down and dust them with the brush that way it gets it clean wherease if the blinds were rolled out I would have to go in between the blind slates and clean each one that way which would take along time.

I perfer blinds. You don't really have to worry about making sure they are closed all the way and whatnot like you sometimes have to do with curtains. It is a pain when you think that your curtains are closed, but they aren't all the way. I also like blinds because they go with just about anything in the house. We changed the bedding in our bedroom and our curtains no longer matched. Instead of going with a new set of curtains, we just went out and bought some blinds, much easier.

I have blinds on all my windows. I only have curtains in the bedroom (because my mother gave me the whole set: comforters, bed skirt, curtains, etc) and my living room because I think it looks better than just bare blinds.
