i think there is. my basis is on two things; 1st, nash has never pushed his team to the nba finals despite having two superstars in the team, amare and marion; 2nd, in his all-time records, he is far from the assists and scoring departments with which he does his best. even in career averages, nash averages are low compared to other point guards.
on this basis, i say the best is jason kidd. for two consecutive years (2001 and 2002), he carried his team to the nba finals without superstar from the team. he is also 7th all-time assist leader and expected to claim the 6th spot this year. he is a triple-double machine. he is also the 12th in alltime steal leader and expected to climb to 11th spot this year. what more can you ask from a player who does assist, rebound, score and steal? only jason kidd can do that. i say only kidd because magic johnson in his prime was not known for steals.

I must admit as far as assist and shooting he is one of the best, but taking it in the hole i give it to Tony Parker

Chauncey Billups and Jason Kidd could be his contemporary but he is better than them. Steve Nash has elevated the game to a whole new dimension and made fans all over the world wonder how does passes could made their marks.
A whole new ballgame with accurate passing and out of this world skills and foresight.
Steve Nash my fave point guard.

No I don't think that there is another point guard in the NBA better than Nash. He is just an amazing player. Not only that, but he is a Canadian and a great person. I heard that he is going to start up a country wide basketball program for kids. He is representing the league and he country beautifully.

I guess because he is from my country, I tend to think he is one of the best basketball players in the world.
I guess I'm not the only one to thingkthat as he is recognized by his peers as a most valuable player.
I think his greatest asset is that he makes everyone around him a better player. He is just a great team player and is an amazing passer.
So, to answer your question, no, I don't think there is a point guard out there better than him.
