Undoubtedly, jack (kiefer sutherland) is the hero in the 24 series, but, what about if in one of the episodes he is shot dead, and another person may be a female takes his place and become the new hero in the tv series 24.
Do you think people will still want to tune in and watch this tv series?

Kiefer Sutherland, or Jack Bauer is definitely one the elements that keep the show alive and keep people watching the show. However, it does feel like a little weird to watch Jack running on missions every season during "national crisis". It's true that all the stories are made-up, but if the stories themselves can't manage to stay logically believable, 24, or the real-time productions would be meaningless. So if Jack, as I see it, were to stay on the show, they'd better come up with better plots; If not, they should consider changing their topic.

i think that keifer sutherland is the backbone of the 24 series. if he were to be killed, it would defy the immortality aspect of his character, and people would not really want to watch the series anymore.

I have to tell you I started watching "24" and after the first few episodes I just couldn't stay with it, not my kind of program because it went way too fast, killed off people I liked, I wanted to see Jack and his wife get through their issues but I found out it wasn't that kind of show. But I think that they could never replace Jack (Keifer Sutherland) with anyone else. He is the show. That's what I think, anyway.

jack (kiefer sutherland) is 24, he makes the show what it is, without Jack the show just wouldn't be 24, wouldn't even be 20.
Well there ya go, It took me till season 3 before i even watched an episode, mainly because i missed most of season 1, so I decided i'd never watch it, but life had other ideas . . . ok i was bored one night and it was the only thing on, so I watched it and was hooked.

I don't think that will ever happen. If Fox gave Kiefer Sutherland a 45 millin dollar contract, then they won't kill him off anytime soon. That's just my opinion
