Awesome!!!! My email notification is working AGAIN!!!!

I would dread opening my in box if I got that many. I do get about 200 or more, but that includes responses also. My biggest are in the mornings which is the way that I like it. Because I have friends throughout the world they trickle in throughout the day and night so that makes it nice. The fact that I have sent them an update everyday to let them know mine was still not working. I guess it didn't affect everyone, and when I sent them the first e-mail the correspondence that I got back was like the first that they had heard of it, which just goes to show that even if we start a discussion about something not working we should contact mylot also. :)

It apparently didn't affect everyone this time. Sadly it did me. I have had a heck of a time trying to find new discussions that my friends started most of them seemed to be older, I kept trying to look in the new discussions started and was able to find a few from my friends. :) Now it's working and I will be back to my routine. :)

I don't know how that would help to stay on top of the new discussions my friends have started. That page links to the front page of all members. I like to respond to friends discussions and if I have time then I go through other links.:)

In the hour mine has been on I have received about 45 emails. I hope to be back to normal tomorrow. I'm glad it's fixed also, although tomorrow morning when I wake up to my in box being full I may regret it. LOL

wow, since it's been up I've received probably about 100 or more... lucky you haha!

I think that I have now exceeded 100 emails now. Maybe I shouldn't have been excited about it working again. LOL

haha yeah i completely agree, even if i still wake up every morning with over 100 emails, it's all good!

LOL, yes I too feel the same way I have been off on trying to find discussions, I much prefer my email and the way I set up my day to stay organized.

I don't think that you have been forgotten. Mine is honestly due to the email notification issue. Now that it's working I will be able to stay more connected to my friends new discussions.

lol, weemam you always make me laugh. It can be scary on some days. Now that I'm up to nearly 400 friends, I do have some days that I receive over 200 notifications but that includes the notifications to my discussions and those I file in a folder and go through those in between posting responses. So they really don't count. One day I will need to go through the friends and see how many are inactive. :) When I have time, LOL.

I agree thank you so much mylot for fixing this problem. I can be organized again and respond to my friends discussions.

It was isolated this time and only affected some. It was quite frustrating at one point I thought I was going to shut my computer off until they fixed it. Problem is I'm a mylotaholic and I just couldn't do it! :)

I had it happen a couple of weeks ago also, that one though was fixed within 24 hours. This has been since last Thursday I truly thought it was never going to be fixed for me, LOL. How was I ever going to get organized again. :)

We are true mylotaholics! :) I was lost without my email notifications and hope this never happens again for me. I can't go through that link again. :)

I agree it's not as efficient, and unless I was in the new discussions started part in the past week I didn't see a single new discussion started by my friends in the link marked "discussions my friends started" someone suggested that may have been a glitch also. I'm so happy to see it working again. :)

I rely on it very heavily, the only links I use are the newbies and new discussions and that's after posting to my friends. The friends link just doesn't work for me. :) I'm glad we are all back up and running.

Well I guess I was fortunate that mine weren't old ones just current as that might have shut done my email, LOL. I received about 125 emails in less than an hour and a half yesterday. Between the new discussions and the responses to my discussions. :)

I have literally not received a single notification from mylot since last Thursday at 2:00 pm PST. I can't tell you how happy I am to see it working as this is the way that I manage my time on mylot the best. This past week I have found that although I spent more time here I have answered less posts per day. :( I have missed I'm sure many great discussions started by my friends. I will be busy trying to keep up today and then back to normal by tomorrow, I hope.

I have sent about 7 of them letting them know the problem was still their they responded to I think 3 or 4 of them. I think that an alert should have been sent out to keep us more informed, just my opinion. :) Glad we are all back up and running.

I have heard many say they turn off their notification because they just receive to many emails. I receive a lot also but in the early morning I have time to go through and read them and then place them into folders to respond to throughout the day, they are listed as "new discussions to respond to", "new discussions that need thought" and new discussions maybe" then the ones that don't fit into any of the categories I send to the trash. :( Then as I'm taking breaks throughout the day I can pop on and I don't have to search for a discussion to respond to I have them at my fingertips. At the end of the day, I usually don't have many left and I start over the next day. Your probably right that their may have been a glitch and that's why I wasn't seeing any new discussions. I kept thinking how do people see new discussions to respond to in their friends list mine doesn't show that. :) I'm glad that mine is up and running again and will be back to normal tomorrow. I'm glad that you enjoy my discussions. This discussion was also to let people know that I haven't been ignoring them I just don't see any new discussions, I kept seeing so many that I had already responded to. :)
