PC Suite and 6265i connection problem

I'm sure this is something simple. I just got my Nokia CS-53 data cable and installed PC Suite. I get to the screen where it tells you to plug the cable into the USB port and then connect your phone to the cable. Once i do that it tells me that my phone is in "file transfer" mode and that I have to turn that off to use my phone with the program.I read in the manual and it said there should be a screen asking what mode I want to use and to use "default" mode. But when I plug the cable into my phone nothing happens.Ittell me there has been a cable connected. So what's the deal? lol.. So what's the deal? lol.. select connectivity
